2026 Istanbul Calling: The biggest summer concerts you don’t want to miss

Summer 2026 in Istanbul is packed with concerts from major international names.
In fact, it’s been years since the city last saw this many big acts lined up one after another. The programme for May, June and July is filled with artists like Bonnie Tyler, Pet Shop Boys and Ricky Martin.
Here’s a quick overview of some of the biggest names coming to Istanbul this summer.

May kicks off with Patti Smith, performing at Bonus Parkorman on May 17. Later in the month, on May 30, Andrea Bocelli takes the stage at Beşiktaş Stadium.
June is the busiest month of the summer. Artists include Alice Cooper (June 13), Bonnie Tyler (June 18 at Harbiye Open-Air Theatre), and Scorpions, celebrating their 60th anniversary on June 24.
Two names in particular are worth noting: Pet Shop Boys (June 24) and Moby (June 29). Both are performing in Istanbul during Pride Week, which in recent years has been subject to bans and pressure from authorities.
That two such prominent names from the electronic scene and LGBTQ+ culture are performing at this exact time is an interesting coincidence - one that quietly reflects the city’s diversity without turning it into a political statement.
July continues with Garbage (July 3) and The Offspring (July 10). On July 17, Suede will play at Zorlu PSM. And finally, Ricky Martin returns to Istanbul for the first time in 15 years with a concert at KüçükÇiftlik Park on July 11. There’s also a dose of pure 90s nostalgia on the line-up. Throwback Festival 2026 takes place on June 21 and features names like Haddaway and Snap!, along with “light” versions of Ace of Base, 2 Unlimited and several others.
My personal pick
It might not come as a surprise that I would go for Bonnie Tyler, Pet Shop Boys, Moby and Ricky Martin. These are names that have each, in their own way, been part of the soundtrack to my life... and am really hooked on the 'Throwback Festivat'.
